It's a crime to pop music history in America that this classic synth-pop recording failed to get the proper airplay here. Even more criminal is that it wasn't even released on 45 in the group's native U.K and didn't chart there until a 1990 release resurrected it. Fortunately, it was quite well known in dance clubs at the time. Alison Moyet is simply one of the best female vocalists of all time! The A side is an edited version of the 5:45 LP cut, and the B side is a terrific "Dub" version not available on album. The group is credited to "Yaz" on this 45, but to "Yazoo" on the cool picture sleeve that accompanies it, which is in Near Mint condition. Note: The 45 itself has light ringwear on the A label, lowering the Label grade to Near Mint (the B label is pristine). The vinyl (styrene) has a few light scuffs, also grading Near Mint. Fortunately, the audio in these undamaged styrene grooves remains pristine Mint... and totally awesome!
