Finally! This is by far the nicest copy I've ever had in the store, and the first with truly Mint audio — a cause for celebration among Jamies fans, for sure! (This Epic release was pressed on styrene, which is gorgeous when pristine but is susceptible to damage from worn or sub-par needles, which were common among those playing "Summertime, Summertime" back in 1958!) By the way, this tune charted again in 1962, on the same catalog number, and it rose to #38 on the Bilozoard pop chart. There is no difference in value between the two pressings, that I'm aware of. The 1962 release was accompanied by a picture sleeve (the 1958 release was not). Note: This beautiful 1958 pressing comes in a vintage Epic Records factory sleeve. The labels are flawless — pristine Mint! And so is the amazing audio. I'm grading the Vinyl (styrene) Near Mint to reflect faint signs of storage wear.
