Jay and the Techniques

Jay and the Techniques was an American pop group formed in the mid-1960s in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The band, led by Jay Proctor, was primarily known for its blend of pop, soul, and R&B, which was distinctive in integrating a full horn section. Their most notable hit was "Apples, Peaches, Pumpkin Pie," in 1967, which has since become a classic of the oldies radio format. The group was significant as one of the first interracial groups to achieve mainstream success in the US music industry.
