Jo Armstead

Jo Armstead, also known as Joshie Jo Armstead, is a prominent American soul singer and songwriter. She gained prominence in the 1960s as part of the songwriting trio Ashford & Simpson and Armstead, contributing to several hits for the Motown label. Armstead's musical style is characterized by her soulful vocals and poignant lyrics, blending elements of R&B, gospel, and pop. Her most influential work includes co-writing the Ray Charles hit, "Let's Go Get Stoned" and her own single, "Stone Good Lover".
