L.A. Boppers

The L.A. Boppers, an American R&B and jazz band, were active predominantly in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Their musical style, a blend of funk, jazz, and pop, was characterized by tight harmonies and slick, danceable grooves. Notable members included Vance Tenort and Ed Reddick, who were principal contributors to the band's distinctive sound. Although never achieving mainstream success, the L.A. Boppers were influential within their genre, with songs like "Is This The Best" and "You Did It Good" becoming enduring club hits.
