Liz Phair

Liz Phair is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist known for her confessional lyrics and lo-fi indie rock sound. She emerged in the early 1990s with her debut album, "Exile in Guyville," which is a response to the Rolling Stones' "Exile on Main St." and is considered an essential feminist work. Phair's raw, unpolished style and candid exploration of female sexuality have made her a significant figure in alternative rock. Her influence is evident in a generation of female singer-songwriters who followed in her footsteps.
