Mudhoney is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1988, often recognized as one of the pioneering groups of the grunge movement. Its members include Mark Arm, Steve Turner, Dan Peters, and Guy Maddison. Known for their raucous, distortion-heavy sound and Arm's distinctive, snarling vocals, the band's 1988 debut EP "Superfuzz Bigmuff" was a significant influence on the Seattle music scene. Despite not achieving the commercial success of some contemporaries, Mudhoney's raw sound and independent ethos remain central to grunge's identity.
