The New York City Peech Boys, also known simply as Peech Boys, were an American band that played a pivotal role in the evolution of house and dance music in the early 1980s. The group was led by Larry Levan, a renowned DJ at the New York club Paradise Garage. Their style blended elements of funk, soul, and R&B, with a distinctive use of tape loops and echo effects that made them pioneers of the garage house genre. Their most notable work, "Don't Make Me Wait" (1982), is widely regarded as a seminal track in the history of dance music.
