Nina & Frederik were a Danish-Dutch popular singing duo active from the mid-1950s to the late 1960s. Comprised of baroness Nina van Pallandt and baron Frederik van Pallandt, they became known for their harmonious, folk-inspired music, particularly their calypso sounds. Their rendition of "Mary's Boy Child" became a major hit in 1962. Despite being less well-known than some contemporaries, they made a significant contribution to the popular folk and calypso scenes of their time, paving the way for future artists within these genres.
