Born on May 26, 1920, in North Dakota, Lee rose to fame as a vocalist with Benny Goodman's big band before embarking on a successful solo career. Her signature song, "Fever", and her role in Disney's "Lady and the Tramp" where she performed and co-wrote the songs, cemented her influence in both music and film.
