Preston Love was an American jazz and rhythm and blues saxophonist. Born in 1921, he played with a host of influential jazz musicians, including Count Basie and Johnny Otis, and his saxophone work is characterized by a bluesy, powerful style. Love is best remembered for his contributions to the West Coast blues scene and his autobiography, "A Thousand Honey Creeks Later", which provides a detailed account of the mid-20th century African-American music scene.
