The Ravyns are an American rock band formed in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1979. They are best known for their single "Raised on the Radio", which was featured on the soundtrack of the film "Fast Times at Ridgemont High", a significant cultural touchstone of the early 1980s. The band, including members Rob Fahey and Kyf Brewer, cultivated a distinctive power pop and rock sound that was emblematic of the era. Though they disbanded in 1984, the Ravyns left a noteworthy mark on the American rock scene of the 1980s.
