Rhinoceros

Rhinoceros was a short-lived rock band formed in 1967 by Elektra Records. The group, featuring members like John Finley and Michael Fonfara, was noted for its fusion of blues, rock, and soul, characterized by strong vocals and keyboard-led instrumentals. Despite moderate commercial success, with their most popular track "Apricot Brandy" reaching number 46 on the Billboard Hot 100, Rhinoceros is often cited as an example of the limitations of manufactured supergroups. Their musical contributions laid the groundwork for the development of blues-rock and hard rock genres in the subsequent years.
