Rick and the Keens were a Texas-based rock and roll band active in the early 1960s. The group, led by Rick Stone on vocals and guitar, played a combination of rock, pop, and country, characteristic of the Texan music scene of the era. Their most successful single, "Peanuts," released in 1961, climbed to number 60 on the Billboard Hot 100. Despite their brief period of activity, the band made a notable contribution to the Texas rock and roll scene of the time.
