Ronnie and The Pomona Casuals

Ronnie and The Pomona Casuals

Ronnie and The Pomona Casuals were a prominent 1960s American garage rock band, led by the charismatic vocalist Ronnie Urias. Their music, characterized by a blend of surf rock, garage, and rhythm and blues, is best exemplified in their notable 1965 cover version of Chris Kenner's "Land of 1000 Dances". Although their time in the spotlight was brief, their unique sound and raw energy played a crucial role in the surf and garage rock scenes of Southern California. Their influence is still recognized in the rock and roll genre today.
