Rosco Gordon

Rosco Gordon was an American blues singer and pianist who contributed to the development of the Memphis blues style in the 1950s. He was known for his "shuffling" rhythm and off-beat piano style, which was influential in the creation of the ska rhythm in Jamaican music. Gordon's notable works include "Booted" and "No More Doggin'," which were significant hits in the rhythm and blues record charts. Despite his relatively short career, Gordon's unique style and rhythm had a profound influence on the genres of blues, R&B, and reggae.
