Sammy Kaye was an influential American bandleader and songwriter known for his "sweet" dance band style music with an emphasis on melody and arrangements. Sammy Kaye's orchestra, with its distinctive "Swing and Sway" style, produced numerous hits, including "Daddy," "Harbor Lights," and "It Isn't Fair." His orchestra's popularity was further cemented with the radio and TV show, "Sammy Kaye's Sunday Serenade," which showcased their signature sound.
