Slim Willett

Slim Willett, born Winston Lee Moore, was an American country music artist and disc jockey of the mid-20th century. He is best known for his 1952 hit "Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes," which showcased his signature honky-tonk style and resonant baritone voice. Willett's work, while not as widely recognized as some of his contemporaries, played a significant role in the development of the country and rockabilly genres. His unique blend of traditional country elements with a more modern, upbeat tempo was influential during the transitional period of popular music in the 1950s.
