The Soul Survivors were an American, blue-eyed soul music group, best known for their 1967 hit single "Expressway to Your Heart". Founded by brothers Richie and Charlie Ingui along with Kenny Jeremiah, the band uniquely blended R&B, soul, and pop to create their signature sound. Although the Soul Survivors were primarily active in the late 1960s, their influence on the Philadelphia soul scene was substantial, particularly because they were among the first acts to work with the renowned songwriting and production team, Gamble and Huff. Their music continues to be recognized for its rich vocal harmonies and catchy, dance-friendly rhythms.
