Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes are an American band from New Jersey, renowned for their blend of classic rock and rhythm and blues. Formed in 1974, the band gained popularity during the 1970s as part of the Jersey Shore sound, along with artists like Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. Their signature sound is characterized by Southside Johnny Lyon's gritty vocals and the prominent use of the horn section, also known as the Miami Horns. Among their influential works, the album "Hearts of Stone" (1978) stands out, which Rolling Stone magazine ranked as one of the best albums of the 1970s.
