Ta Mara & The Seen were an American R&B group from Minneapolis, active in the mid-1980s. The band was known for their blend of funk, synthpop, and dance music, characteristic of the Minneapolis sound. Fronted by singer Margie Cox, also known as Ta Mara, they were produced and mentored by Jesse Johnson of The Time. Their most successful single, "Everybody Dance", peaked at number three on the Billboard R&B charts in 1985, marking their significance in the era's dance music scene.
