Temple of the Dog

Temple of the Dog

Temple of the Dog was an American rock supergroup that formed in Seattle, Washington in 1990. The band was a one-off project by Soundgarden's Chris Cornell, who was joined by Stone Gossard, Jeff Ament, Mike McCready, and Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam. Their music style was a blend of grunge and alternative rock, with a distinctively raw and emotive sound. The group is historically significant for their influential self-titled album, which was dedicated to Andrew Wood, the lead singer of Mother Love Bone who died of a heroin overdose.
