The Texas Tornados were a Tejano supergroup formed in 1989, featuring prominent musicians Doug Sahm, Freddy Fender, Flaco Jiménez, and Augie Meyers. Their music style was a fusion of rock and roll, country, rhythm and blues, and Mexican influences, creating a distinctive Tex-Mex sound. The group's bilingual hit songs such as "Hey Baby Que Paso" and "Una Mas Cerveza" made significant contributions to Tejano music, helping popularize the genre outside of its native region. Despite their relatively short tenure, the Texas Tornados left a lasting impact on the American music scene.
