The 31st of February was a short-lived, American folk-rock band formed in the late 1960s in Jacksonville, Florida. The trio consisted of Scott Boyer, David Brown, and notable drummer Butch Trucks, who later became a founding member of The Allman Brothers Band. Their musical style was characterized by harmonic vocals and a blend of folk, rock, and blues. Although they only released one self-titled album, their work is notable for its early exploration of Southern rock sounds which would become more prominent in the 1970s.
