The Belairs

The Belairs were an influential American surf rock band formed in Southern California in 1960. The original lineup consisted of Paul Johnson and Eddie Bertrand, notable for their innovative guitar work which helped define the surf rock genre. Their most significant work, "Mr. Moto", is often considered one of the first surf rock songs and greatly contributed to the early development of the genre. Despite their short-lived existence, The Belairs' distinctive sound had a lasting impact on future rock music, particularly within the surf rock scene.
