The Broadways were a seminal American punk band from Chicago, active between 1996 and 1998. Known for their politically charged lyrics and melodic punk sound, the band's music was influenced by a range of punk sub-genres, notably pop punk and skate punk. Key members included Dan Hanaway and Chris McCaughan, who would go on to form the successful punk band The Lawrence Arms. The Broadways released one full-length album, "Broken Star", which is considered a significant contribution to late 90s punk.
