The Cherry People were an American psychedelic pop band active during the late 1960s. Formed in Washington D.C., they were initially a blue-eyed soul group known as The English Setters before transitioning to a more psychedelic sound. Although the band didn't achieve major success, their 1968 self-titled album is noted for its innovative blend of pop, rock, and psychedelic elements. Key members included Doug Grimes and Punky Meadows, the latter of whom would go on to play guitar for the glam rock band Angel.
