The Chords

The Chords were a British mod revival band from the late 1970s, distinguished by their blend of pop, punk, and soul influences. Their style was reminiscent of the 1960s British invasion bands, with a modern punk edge. Notable for their harmonious vocals, the band consisted of Billy Hassett, Buddy Ascott, Chris Pope, and Martin Mason. Their most significant contribution to music was their 1980 album, "So Far Away", which charted in the UK and influenced the mod revival movement of that era.
