The Corolairs

The Corolairs were an influential quartet in the late 1950s and early 1960s doo-wop scene. Known for their harmonious blend of vocal melodies, the group's style was both soulful and rhythmically engaging, reflecting the urban energy of their New York City origins. Notable band members included lead vocalist Tommy Evans and bass singer Leonard Puzey, both of whom contributed significantly to the Corolairs' signature sound. Their most influential work, "Smoky Places," is considered a quintessential example of the doo-wop genre.
