The Cramps were an American punk rock band that formed in 1976 and were active until 2009. Known for their fusion of punk, rockabilly, and horror-themed theatrics, they are often credited with pioneering the psychobilly genre. The band's most notable members were lead vocalist Lux Interior and guitarist Poison Ivy, whose distinctive sound was characterized by a minimalist, two-guitar line-up and a heavy reliance on reverb. Their influential works include the albums "Songs the Lord Taught Us" and "Psychedelic Jungle".
