The DeFranco Family featuring Tony DeFranco was a Canadian pop music group, active in the mid-1970s. Led by the then-teenaged Tony DeFranco, the band was known for its bubblegum pop sound and was often compared to the Osmonds and the Jackson 5. They had a number of hits, including their signature song "Heartbeat - It's a Lovebeat," which reached number three on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1973. Despite their early success, the DeFranco Family faded from the music scene by the end of the decade.
