The Del-Rays

The Del-Rays were an early American rock band primarily active in the 1960s, known for their distinct blend of surf rock and garage rock. Formed in Minnesota, the band is notable for being one of the earliest groups featuring a future Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Prince Rogers Nelson, who later became globally known as Prince. The Del-Rays did not produce any influential works or achieve significant commercial success, but their historical importance lies in their early connection to one of the most influential figures in pop music history. Their sound, while not groundbreaking, was indicative of the prevailing musical trends of their era.
