The Du-Droppers

The Du-Droppers were an American rhythm and blues vocal group active from 1952 to 1955. Known for their harmonious and melodious style, they were one of the pioneering R&B groups during the transition of African-American music from gospel to more secular themes. Notable band members included J.C. Ginyard, who later joined The Drifters, and their most significant hit was "Can't Do Sixty No More". The Du-Droppers' influence can be seen in the evolution of R&B and the emergence of doo-wop music.
