The Family Vibes

The Family Vibes

The Family Vibes, originally known as The Ike & Tina Turner Revue, was an American R&B and funk band active from 1968 to 1976. The group was led by Ike Turner, a significant figure in the creation of rock and roll, and it served as the backing band for Ike and his then-wife, Tina Turner. Their style was characterized by a fusion of soulful vocals, gritty guitar riffs, and energetic performances. Some of their most influential works include the albums "Confined to Soul" and "Strange Fruit", which played a pivotal role in the development of the funk genre.
