The Fidels were an American soul group from Los Angeles, active mostly in the 1960s. The band's musical style was characterized by its blend of rhythm and blues, soul, and funk, with notable singles such as "Boys Will Be Boys" and "Try a Little Harder." Though not a mainstream success, The Fidels were instrumental in the West Coast soul scene and had a considerable local following. Their distinct sound was largely attributed to the unique vocal style of band members John "J.J." Jackson and Maurice "Reese" Williams.
