The Honeycombs were a British beat/pop group, active from 1963 to 1967, most notable for their number one UK and international hit "Have I the Right?" in 1964. Their distinctive sound was characterized by a prominent use of the tambourine, tight harmonies, and the unique drumming style of Honey Lantree, one of the few female drummers of the era. Produced by Joe Meek, their innovative and experimental production techniques played a significant role in shaping the sound of British pop music. Despite their brief period of success, The Honeycombs made a lasting impact and are considered a key player in the British Invasion of the US music scene.
