The Hour Glass was an American rock band active from 1967 to 1968, primarily known for featuring two future members of the Allman Brothers Band, Duane and Gregg Allman. Their style mixed elements of blues, soul, and rock, indicative of the Southern Rock sound the Allman brothers would later popularize. The band's limited commercial success during its brief existence led to creative differences and eventual dissolution. However, their two albums "The Hour Glass" and "Power of Love", remain significant for showcasing the early talent and distinctive guitar work of Duane Allman.
