The Limeliters are an American folk music group, formed in 1959 by Lou Gottlieb, Alex Hassilev, and Glenn Yarbrough. The band's distinctive sound combines close harmony vocals, guitar, and banjo, often featuring Yarbrough's soaring tenor on lead. The group's 1960 album, "Tonight: In Person", reached the top ten on the Billboard charts, highlighting their signature blend of folk music with a light, humorous touch. Though the Limeliters disbanded in 1965, they have periodically reformed with various lineups, cementing their place in the folk music revival of the 1960s.
