The Members

The Members are a British punk rock band that initially formed in 1976. Known for their fusion of punk with reggae rhythms, they gained popularity with their 1979 hit single "Sound of the Suburbs," which became symbolic of suburban discontent in the UK. The original line-up consisted of notable members Nicky Tesco, Jean-Marie Carroll, and Chris Payne. Their music played a significant role in the punk rock movement, reflecting the socio-political atmosphere of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
