The Neighbourhood is an American rock band formed in California in 2011. The group is composed of vocalist Jesse Rutherford, guitarists Jeremy Freedman and Zach Abels, bassist Mikey Margott, and drummer Brandon Alexander Fried. The band is best known for their atmospheric, moody sound, blending elements of indie rock, electronic music, and R&B, as showcased in their breakout hit "Sweater Weather." Their music has contributed to the evolution of the alternative rock genre in the 2010s.
