The Nightingales are a British post-punk band originally formed in 1979. The group, known for its distinctive sound blending punk rock with a more melodic, harmonic approach, was founded by Robert Lloyd, a former member of The Prefects. The Nightingales have seen multiple lineup changes throughout their career, but Lloyd's presence and unique songwriting style remain a constant.
