The Nu Tornados were an American rock and roll band active in the late 1950s. Their trademark sound combined elements of doo-wop and rockabilly. The group is most recognized for their 1958 single "Philadelphia U.S.A.", which peaked at number 26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Despite their brief period of success, The Nu Tornados left an indelible mark on the early rock and roll scene.
