The Packers were an American instrumental rhythm and blues band active during the mid-20th century. Their musical style was predominantly groove-oriented, characterized by a strong rhythm section and vibrant saxophone playing. The band is best known for their 1965 hit "Hole in the Wall", which reached number 5 on the Billboard R&B chart. Despite their brief career, The Packers had a notable influence on the development of rhythm and blues, particularly through the contributions of band member and renowned saxophonist Charles "Packy" Axton.
