The Paper Dolls

The Paper Dolls were a British pop vocal trio, active from 1966 to 1970, comprised of Susie 'Tiger' Mathis, Pauline 'Spyder' Bennett, and Sue 'Copper' Marshall. Their music style was predominantly pop, with their signature track "Something Here in My Heart (Keeps A-Tellin' Me No)" reaching number 11 in the UK Singles chart in 1968. While their tenure was brief, the Paper Dolls' music is remembered for its catchy, upbeat sound that embodied the swinging London scene of the late 1960s. Their impact on pop music, although minor, is characterized by their distinctive matching mod outfits and their role as one of the few all-female bands of the era.
