The Quintones

The Quintones were an American doo-wop group, active in the late 1950s and early 1960s. The ensemble, hailing from York, Pennsylvania, comprised of members Phyllis Carr, Carolyn 'Sissie' Holmes, Phoebe 'Baby' Bird, Kenneth 'Buzzy' Owens, and Frank McCowen. Their most successful release, "Down the Aisle of Love," reached number 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1958, becoming a defining hit of the doo-wop era. The Quintones' harmonious blend of voices and the distinctive lead vocals of Phyllis Carr served as a signature sound, influencing future generations of vocal groups.
