The Regents were an American doo-wop vocal group from New York City, best known for their 1961 hit single, "Barbara-Ann." Their sound was characterized by tight vocal harmonies and pop-oriented melodies, indicative of the early 1960s doo-wop genre. Despite their brief time in the spotlight, they significantly influenced later artists, with "Barbara-Ann" being notably covered by The Beach Boys. The group originally consisted of members Guy Villari, Sal Cuomo, Chuck Fassert, Tony Gravagna, and Don Jacobucci.
