The Rooks are an American indie-soul/ R&B band, originating from Middletown, Connecticut. Known for their intricate blend of R&B, indie, and soul, they were formed in 2012 by members of the Wesleyan University music scene. Their sound is distinguished by smooth falsetto vocals, lush harmonies, and intricate rhythmic patterns, with lead vocalist Garth Taylor and drummer Nate Mondschein among the notable members. The Rooks have made a significant contribution to the indie-soul genre with influential works such as their debut EP "Something You Can Take".
