The Skids are a Scottish punk rock and new wave band, established in Dunfermline, Fife, in 1977. The group is recognized for its fusion of punk energy and pop melodicism, with a distinctive sound characterized by the soaring guitar work of Stuart Adamson. Key band members include Richard Jobson (vocals) and the aforementioned Adamson, who later gained fame with Big Country.
