The Sultans

"The Sultans" were a popular American rhythm and blues band in the 1950s. Their musical style was characterized by powerful vocal harmonies and a blend of blues, doo-wop, and early rock and roll. The group was particularly known for their lead singer, Jesse Belvin, who later enjoyed a successful solo career. Their most influential work, "Lemon Squeezing Daddy," remains a classic example of the genre and an important contribution to mid-century American music.
