The Sweet Three

The Sweet Three was an American soul girl group active from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. The group was particularly noted for their harmonious and soulful sound, which was a blend of pop, funk, and R&B. Notable members included Sheila Ferguson, who later became the lead singer of The Three Degrees. Their most influential work is arguably "That's the Way It Is (When a Girl's in Love)," which peaked at number 38 on the Billboard chart in 1966. Despite their short-lived existence, The Sweet Three left a lasting impact on the soul music genre.
